Merrifield residents – help us bring in the Christmas cheer for 2021! Participate in our Christmas lights competition and win Merrifield City vouchers ($1000 for 1st prize, $500 for second prize and $300 for third prize)! Enter the competition via the My Merrifield App.

This year’s competition will be judged by a panel of Merrifield residents made up of prize winners from the 2020 competition. Judging will take place on Saturday 18 December 2021 between 8pm and 10pm. A list of participating homes is available on My Merrifield app!

GOTAFE’s Mobile Campus is coming to Merrifield City!

Merrifield City will welcome GOTAFE’s Mobile Campus from Monday 22 November to Monday 29 November, providing convenient access to education, training and skills and job centre services to the Merrifield community.

GOTAFE’s Mobile Campus is a fully accessible, renovated semi-trailer featuring a client reception area, counselling space, workshop and seminar space, and a community computer lab.

Merrifield City Manager, Kylie Robertson, said Merrifield City was thrilled to welcome GOTAFE’s Mobile Campus to the community.

“We are committed to meeting the needs of our diverse and rapidly growing community, which we feel so proud to be an integral part of. We are delighted to be bringing this fantastic initiative to Merrifield City in conjunction with our joint venture partners MAB Corporation and Gibson Property Corporation (GPC),” Ms Robertson said.

GOTAFE CEO, Travis Heeney, said that the Mobile Campus was committed to supporting those living in the local Merrifield community.

“GOTAFE is committed to playing a lead role in supporting communities like Merrifield” Mr Heeney said.

“At the heart of the mobile campus is the ability to bridge the gap between our communities and deliver critical employment and education services, regardless of location, access and financial barriers.”

Education and lifelong learning are key pillars of the Merrifield vision and masterplan. We are excited to announce our brand new partnership with GOTAFE to collaboratively explore opportunities to respond to education needs for our fast growing residential and business community. Lifestyle Communities acquires new site in Merrifield

We are pleased to announce Lifestyle Communities has recently acquired a new site in our flagship Merrifield project, to deliver a new community village for the booming semi-retired, retired and downsizer market.

The Lifestyle Communities Merrifield site will have capacity for approximately 187 new homes, offering a range of high quality, low maintenance designs under a land lease community approach. The new village will be located along Aitken Boulevard within a brand new residential precinct of Merrifield, set to launch in early 2022.
