Merrifield Public Art Program
Merrifield recognises the positive contribution that public art can make to the local community. The Merrifield Public Art Program celebrates creativity by transforming everyday spaces into recognisable landmarks that reflect local identity. The program aims to deliver artworks that enrich the physical environment, encourage community pride, and enhance the overall amenity of Merrifield.
Electrical Kiosk Project
As part of this program, the Electrical Kiosk Project engaged several local artists to create original artworks for electrical kiosks located throughout Merrifield. These kiosks were transformed using vinyl wraps that responded to the theme of sustainable communities and environment. The project not only improves visual appeal and reduces graffiti but also invites the community to see infrastructure in a new light.

Lisa Buckland
A Westmeadows based visual artist who uses acrylics, watercolours, and sumi ink to explore identity and her relationship with nature. Her artwork for the kiosks captures the harmony between suburban living and the natural world.

Will Elika
A multidisciplinary artist based in Craigieburn who is known for bold colours, expressive characters, and playful imagery. His work brings energy and a strong visual presence to the kiosks while drawing from the unique characteristics of each location.

Raghad Rihan
Deeply connected to the Hume area, Rihan’s work celebrates multiculturalism and everyday connection—through food, music, sports, and shared moments. Her kiosks highlight the richness of local life and a sense of belonging.
