Business Park Update

Watch the Merrifield Business Park construction update video here.

Stage 1 of Merrifield Business Park is taking shape with civil construction now over 50% complete. The first roads into the estate will be officially open in July 2017.

The first manufacturing giant at Merrifield Business Park, Dulux, will be open for business in 2017, less than 24 months after the $1.2billion, 330 hectare business park was officially launched.

Civil works for Stage 1 are progressing well, with main drainage, sewer and distribution water main infrastructure now complete and sub-grade and road preparation underway.

The Corner Store pop up café in Merrifield feeds construction workers at the site each day with gourmet lunch options and excellent coffee!

We are excited to report that Dulux is approximately 60% complete, and is anticipating opening for production in October 2017.

The new 20,000sqm Dulux water-based paint manufacturing facility will be the largest coatings plant in Australia and New Zealand.

The facility will have capacity to produce in excess of 100 million litres per year, which is approximately double Dulux’s current sales volume.  It will incorporate an automated production process and will further strengthen Dulux’s product quality, innovation, customer service and cost competitiveness.

The impressive, architecturally-designed facility can already be seen from the Hume Freeway, and will be finished with striking landscape treatment reflective of our inspiring landscape vision for Merrifield Business Park.
