Merrifield will soon be home to a brand-new park, playground and water play area, located between Errol Boulevard and Fellows Road in the Park Rise neighbourhood. Following civil works, which are expected to commence in the middle of 2026, construction of the park will begin, with completion expected in 2027.

An exciting and welcome addition to Merrifield, this new public space will, in the future, lead into a new linear park creating a significant green corridor, complete with wetlands and walking trails, that will in time lead into the future planned Merrifield Park.

The new park will be home to Merrifield’s first water play area where children can make the most of water jets, spurts and streams, and a large showering water ‘arc’. Outside of the water play area, the park will also encompass undercover picnic tables and bench seating, a large playground area with tall climbing frame and tube slides, and a significant grassed area.

As with all parks within Merrifield, the space has been designed by leading landscape architects MDG and incorporates a significant investment in trees for shading, hardy shrubs and bushes to ensure an inviting space year-round for all ages to enjoy.
