We are pleased to announce that construction of Aitken Boulevard between Donnybrook Road and Mt Ridley Road in Mickleham has commenced. Anticipated to be fully completed late-2024, this important extension will provide Merrifield residents with a direct connection into the heart of Craigieburn within 6 minutes – bringing a host of retail, education, recreational and transport services within even easier reach – whilst reducing traffic volumes on the Hume Freeway and Mickleham Road.

This connection into Craigieburn, Greenvale and beyond builds on the excellent transport and lifestyle advantages already available to over 8,000 Merrifield residents.

The Merrifield community will enjoy quick and easy access to key amenities such as Craigieburn Central, Craigieburn Train Station, Hume Anglican Grammar, Mount Ridley College and Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre.

Merrifield developers, MAB Corporation and Gibson Property Corporation are working in close collaboration with Department of Transport, Hume City Council and key project delivery partners DCE and Winslow to deliver this important project.

A new residential precinct will be launching soon in Merrifield alongside the future Aitken Boulevard connection.
